Guidelines

Yew welcomes submissions of poetry, hybrid writing, photography, or other visual art via email. Yew is a venue to promote writing and visuals by women, and at this time accepts submissions only from women. Simultaneous submissions are accepted, but please inform us that you have submitted your piece elsewhere. Yew editors will respond to all submissions within 3 months of receipt.

Writers and artists whose work is accepted will be asked to provide a one- to two-sentence 'bio' consisting only of a little known fact about themselves.

Submission Guidelines

Writing:

Please send a cover letter with 4 to 6 pieces as a word attachment to:

poetry@yewjournal.com

Subject Line: Your Name

Label all attachments with your name

Images:

Please send a cover letter with photo submissions attached to:

images@yewjournal.com

Subject Line: Your Name

Label all attachments with your name (ie. Yourname_image title)

Photographs should be saved as jpg format, preferably 300dpi file size.
Drawings and other visual art should be scanned or photographed for submission.
Please notify the editors in your cover letter if you object to photo cropping or
the superimposition of text over your image.
